About

Web developer focused on the part of e-commerce that actually moves the needle: code that converts.

Roberto Verlezza

I've been building for the web for nine years — eight of those deep in WordPress, the last four specialized in Shopify. My work sits at the intersection of two things most developers treat separately: technical execution and business outcomes.

I started in agency work in Venezuela, where I led the web and servers area at Florida Global University, managing 40+ sites and the hosting infrastructure behind them. In December 2018, I moved to Colombia and continued building — full-cycle Shopify development at CodeBulls, custom WordPress and Shopify projects at Antpack, and today I lead web development at All In Advertising, where I ship custom Shopify themes and complex WordPress builds for clients ranging from small concept stores to industrial B2B platforms with enterprise customers.

In parallel, I run Verlezza Labs — a Shopify app studio where I design and ship apps merchants actually use. This isn't a side project for show; it's how I stay sharp on the platform from the inside out, beyond what theme work alone can teach.

Outside of my agency role, I take on selective freelance projects for founders and teams who need a developer they can trust to deliver clean code, hit deadlines, and think about business impact — not just tickets.

How I Work

Four principles I don't compromise on

01

Conversion over decoration.

A beautiful site that doesn't sell is a portfolio piece, not a business asset. I optimize for what your customers actually do — not what looks good in a design review.

02

Performance is a feature.

Slow sites lose money. Every project ships with Core Web Vitals as a non-negotiable, not an afterthought. Lighthouse scores aren't vanity metrics — they're revenue.

03

Maintainable over clever.

The next developer who touches your code (maybe even future you) shouldn't have to reverse-engineer what I did. Clean structure, clear naming, documented decisions.

04

Long-term partnerships over one-off gigs.

Most of my clients stay with me past launch. Maintenance, iteration, and continuous improvement — that's where the real value compounds.

Current Focus

What I'm building right now

Right now I'm growing Verlezza Labs into a serious Shopify app studio — Schematic, the first app, ships this year. I'm also taking on selective freelance projects that match my technical focus: complex Shopify builds, WordPress at scale, and platform migrations.

If that aligns with what you're building, let's talk.
